Elkhorn's McKenna Reagan helps WSC volleyball to 8-0 start...

Elkhorn graduate McKenna Reagan, a freshman defensive specialist on the Wayne State College volleyball team, is averaging 2.48 digs per set for the 8-0 Wildcats so far this season.  WSC is ranked 7th in NCAA Division II, the highest ever national ranking for the Wildcats.

Wayne, Neb.--- The fifth annual “Pack the House” Night, sponsored by the WSC S.P.O.R.T.S. Club (Students Pursuing Occupations Related to Sports), will be held on Tuesday, September 21 when the NCAA Division II 7th-ranked Wayne State College volleyball team hosts #12 Nebraska-Kearney at 7:00 p.m. 
The fifth annual “Pack the House” Night, sponsored by the WSC S.P.O.R.T.S. Club (Students Pursuing Occupations Related to Sports), will be held on Tuesday, September 21 when the NCAA Division II 7-ranked Wayne State College volleyball team hosts #12 Nebraska-Kearney at 7:00 p.m.            WSC is now 8-0 on the season after the Wildcats won all four matches at the Colorado Premier Challenge over the weekend in Denver, a tournament that featured nine Top 25 teams.  The Wildcats posted win over then #6 Saint Leo of Florida, Regis, then #1 Concordia-St. Paul and then #10 Southwest Minnesota State in the title match Saturday evening. 
            Fans are encouraged to wear black and help create the “Black Hole” and set a new single game volleyball attendance record at Rice Auditorium.   WSC set a new single game attendance mark of 1,382 fans when the Wildcats topped the Lopers on October 18, 2006.
            WSC students can tailgate at the south doors of Rice Auditorium with the WSC S.P.O.R.T.S. Club beginning at 5:30 p.m. with free hot dogs and Pepsi products.  WSC students are reminded to show college ID for a chance to win a 32 inch flat screen TV. Doors to Rice Auditorium open at 6:00 p.m.

            Wayne State College, ranked 7th in this week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon, is 8-0 on the season and opens Northern Sun Conference play at home this weekend vs. Winona State Friday night and Upper Iowa Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. followed by next Tuesday night’s Black Out Night match vs. Nebraska-Kearney at 7:00 p.m.
